LUIS DE LA CRUZ

Luis De La Cruz - Interior Designer NYCLuis De La Cruz is a New York City based interior designer with over 25 years of experience in the industry. In 1988, De La Cruz acquired an interior design degree from the Traphagen School of Fashion (now Parsons School of Design) and then continued studies in construction design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

As a young designer, Luis worked for various wall covering, fabric and furniture showrooms at the Decoration & Design Building and New York Design Center building. Design experience followed as an administrative assistant and junior designer for local interior design firms. In 1998, De La Cruz started working on collaborations as a freelance draftsperson and design assistant for internationally renowned and Architectural Digest Top 100 designers, architects and builders, among others.

In 2001, De La Cruz founded De La Cruz Art & Design Services, Inc., now known as De La Cruz Interior Design, which provides a full range of services to residential and commercial clients from initial consultation to turnkey results. His sensibility for color, architectural detail and practicality is manifested in each project, taking into consideration clients’ budgets and styles to deliver timeless unique spaces.

Recent projects include The Mathew Jansen Dutch Colonial Historical Landmark in Kingston, New York, and a 6,000-square-foot home in Manhasset, New York. De La Cruz’s previous work includes homes in New York City, Connecticut and Boca Raton, Florida, and numerous projects in the northern region of New Jersey.
